“Had a wonderful time in the Yurt this past weekend. Although a bit drizzly on Friday night with the rain loudly banging on the tin roof, my partner and I still loved every second. The Klondike, candles and that stunning view made for a beautiful anniversary weekend away. Couldn’t have picked a better location, the amenities were great and the little touches including wine, fresh eggs and milk were really welcoming. Thank you for the getaway! Have recommended it to my friends and family!”

What farm stay. Set in the beautiful kangaroo valley, I cant think of any better place to getaway to. All you need for a perfect escape.

Tom, October 2018

Went down for a farm stay with a few friends looking for a peaceful place to stay for a long weekend. Can not recommend this one enough. Have stayed at a few Kangaroo valley accommodations but have settled on this one from now on. Thanks Helen and the team!

Rhys, October 2018

Absolute gem in the valley. Highly recommend to anyone. Beautiful place, great accommodation, insanely peaceful. Absolute bliss.

Jonathon, October 2018

Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful weekend at your cottage. What a great property you have. We will be back!

Karin, September 2018

Loved The Yurt and will be back again soon. Amazing weekend away from Sydney. Privacy, not another human in sight. Great views, tons of wildlife, hot shower, local treats, big French press and coffee for the mornings. Wood for fires in and out plus air con unit as well. Blanket heaters too. We went on a fabulous bushwalk just following the dirt track down to the river and walks for 2.5 hours seeing no one else and loads of birds, wallabies and wombats. Absolute heaven. Only wish we could stay there forever. Will be sending info to all our friends and family looking for a romantic bush getaway.

Emily, September 2018

Beautiful location, the accommodation is perfect and the owners are extremely friendly. I highly recommend Cedars for a relaxing weekend getaway. I will be returning!

Tristan, September 2018

We were looking for a great farm stay experience and we found it at the Cedars! Set deep with Kangaroo Valley, we stayed in the Sunnybank cottage. Beautiful clean accommodation and even more amazing views. Its a really cosy eco-friendly cottage with nice touches including bread & a bottle of wine. We loved the daily farmyard feed and all the different animals – horses, cows, donkeys, pigs & even peacocks!

Karina, September 2018

Such a peaceful and beautiful spot. We feel so rejuvenated and ready to take on city life again after a weekend retreat away.

Tom, September 2018

The place looked beautiful in the pictures, but it is even way more impressive when you get there! It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. Waking up to such an open and beautiful view, surrounded by wildlife and nature is just priceless. We would definitely come back to cedars cottages! Highly recommended. Everything was just perfect.

Fede, August 2018

An absolutely magical place to stay for the weekend. Such a perfect little cabin to relax, rest and rejuvenate. Only wish we had stayed longer.

Kara, July 2018

The Yurt gets 6 out of 5 for location! A return for us – and for many others if you read the visitors book. A special location with unrivalled views yet the village is not far away.

Roy, July 2018

Miles out of town, remote in a sense and absolutely perfect to run to from Sydney. We brought our supplies in Berry (meat etc) and arrived to the remote Sunny Bank Cottage on the most beautiful farm. Not a building or person in sight. Gorgeous cement floor cottage with wood fire …. gas stove … bath .. separate sleeping area to lounge room. Just perfect. Kangaroos in the morn … odd wombat .. and a short drive up to the main farm area to get your animal fix of donkeys, cattle, piglets etc .. Divine vista from every door … which are all glass. Loved it x

Keren, June 2018

The Dairy was the perfect place for a getaway. The views are completely breathtaking! I would stay again any day.

Cara April 2018

The hubby and myself had the most relaxing long weekend. Just what we were hoping for. We had a want for nothing as you’d covered it all. Every time I thought I’d “need that” it was already supplied and waiting. The bed was comfortable, the fresh eggs-rich and creamy, the supplied bread-delectable. The outdoor fire with hotplate makes cooking an ease, teemed with the night sky back drop, and you have heaven. Again, thank you so much and we both hope to see you again in the future.

Michelle April 2018

Thank you Cedars Cottage! The Yurt was everything we wanted! Scenic views of the mountains, peace and quiet, wildlife watching at our front door, goodies from the host such as eggs, milk, bread, jam, loved the self check in/out, loved the walking track around the property, I love the horses and their livestock, I loved the A/C when it got hot through midday and loved the scenic drive to the yurt (moss vale road). Do I need to say more? I love this unique yurt! I highly recommend!

Mia March 2018

We had such a great and relaxing weekend at Sunnybank. The photos do not do the place justice – we were blown away by how beautiful the view was and the cottage was. The cottage was so open with the doors opening up to the stunning valley and sitting out on the rock and taking everything in around us was amazing. There were lots of nice little touches with many candles around the place, speakers and a great kitchen. Thanks…we’ll definitely be back

Gina, February 2018

We loved our stay in the quaint but very comfortable yurt ! So many special things – totally peaceful and private, magnificent views, surrounded by nature and farm animals, homemade bread and jam and fresh eggs supplied, fireplace to cook dinner outside , magnificent night skies . Perfect all round for a rustic but very comfortable and cosy stay

A truly amazing weekend. The location of the cottage is lovely for a romantic getaway. Set in such a stunning location, the views out your door are hard to capture in photos but are breathtaking. We loved the Eco nature of the cottage, which added to the secluded location and feel. There was so much wildlife around, which was so special, different wallabies, wombats and birds. Seeing them at dusk made the weekend truely memorable. The were also lots of little touches, like milk, fresh eggs, chocolates etc, which made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place to stay.

Lucy – September 2017

Beautiful cabin on a beautiful property! This was such a relaxing place to stay. Very secluded, on a lovely property. You can choose to relax and stay inside or adventure outdoors. The cabin gets very warm and cosy with the potbelly fire on which is perfect for winter time too. Highly highly recommend!

Katherine, August 2017

Such a lovely place to stay. All the little touches were lovely and the pictures don’t do the view justice. We stayed over winter and found the fire toasty warm…would definitely recommend!

Emily, July 2017

Our stay at the Yurt was a wonderful and totally relaxing experience. We particularly liked the quite of the bush and enjoyed feeding the animals in the morning. Communication was great and very helpful. We would certainly recommend others to stay here. Thank you.

Noel & Kay, June 2017

Surrounded by amazing scenery and active wildlife Cedars Cottage is Kangaroo Valley’s hidden gem. Whether you are an animal lover or want a quiet weekend getaway I would highly recommend Cedars Cottage!

Julian, May 2017

Secluded, cosy, awesome location … the valley mist in the morning was stunning and ever-changing … the cliffs in the evening were bathed in light … absolutely sensational.

Robert, May 2017

Second time we have stayed here and we enjoyed it even more! So private and peaceful. My partner and I love the Yurt with fresh eggs and bread and the outdoor fire we cooked our dinner on. Feeling very refreshed. Thanks again!

Naomi, May 2017

BeaYURTiful! We had the most lovely stay at The Yurt. The accommodation was everything we were hoping for, with fantastic attention to detail (like fresh eggs for breakfast and maps of the walking trails around the property) making it even better. Waking up to such a stunning view isn’t bad either. Thanks for such a lovely visit. We even managed to get engaged while we were there so a repeat trip is a must!

Chris, March 2017

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was beautiful, the yurt was great, and we really loved seeing all the native animals from our front door including wombats, echidnas, kookaburras, wallabies and a lyrebird. We hope to return again in the future!

Kate – October 2016

We would like to thank you for the warmest hospitality we have ever experienced. Quite frankly, we were blown away by the scenic views and the cabin arrangements. It made us feel very much like at home. this was our first time but it will definitely not be our last. You have done a fabulous job with the cabins. We now want to own one ourselves. Until next time, all the best and thank you again for everything.

David and Hayley – October 2016

I just wanted to say thank you for such a happy weekend. We loved the whole experience. Terry was wonderful and really added to our fantastic weekend, he was funny, kind and generous with his time and patience with my children. We will be back.

Jenny – August 2016

This is a stunning place. The Yurt faces one of Australia’s loveliest valleys. The high escarpment to the east is brilliant to watch the passing sun rays through the afternoon, while tending to the fire pit. We loved making sustained and impressive echos by shouting koo-ee.

Liam – July 2016

Thank you so much for such a fabulous weekend away! We stayed at Misty Glen over the weekend 29/7-31/7 and had an incredible time. It was so relaxing to have everything that we needed at our hands. Also a special mention to Terry for showing us all of the animals and making the most out of the morning feeds…we hope to be back soon.

Sinead – July 2016

My son, who is 5, and I stayed at Sunnybank on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week. I just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time and he thoroughly enjoyed the animal feeding with Pia on Thursday and with Terry and Greg on Friday. I think the highlight was the tractor ride on Friday morning with Terry! We also did a number of bushwalks (which had him asleep in bed by 6pm each night!) and we saw at least 5 stags and numrous wallabies.

I was grateful for the lovely fresh eggs, sour dough bread and milk and particularly the bottle of wine which helped me wind down at the end of our busy but relaxing days.

Lisa – April 2016

Absolutely breathtaking! Dianne was amazingly helpful during our stay and the place was unbelievable. Pictures don’t do Sunnybank justice. The whole experience was second to none and I highly recommend staying here for a peaceful relaxing getaway. Fresh eggs and sourdough in the morning was such a delight. Greg took us to see the glow worms and was so accommodating throughout our trip. Thank you for a great weekend.

David – February 2016

Wow! If you are looking to not see or hear another human or building in site and see beautiful escarpment and listen to birds and wake up the mist in the valley with your hot homemade bread and make yourself scrambled eggs (provided for you) ….then this is the perfect getaway !! We went for a walk down to the creek passing and saying hi to the horses and cows along the way. Walked for three hours not seeing a sole. Place was clean and bed very comfy- everything we needed. Absolutely would recommend this… Loved it

Keryn – January 2016

Exceptional! In every way! The location is stunning, the cottage a delight, and the little touches (wine, bread, farm fresh eggs) so welcoming and thoughtful. The host, Dianne, was simply wonderful – responsive, helpful and accommodating (indeed when I mixed up the booking details, Dianne went out of her way to help). Highest recommendation. We will definitely be coming back.

Brook – October 2015

I just wanted to thank you for a really great weekend. It went off so well, we all had such an amazing time and I feel like I gave the family such a gift. I personally love it there and now all the family do also.

Myf – October 2015

I think the listing undersold this place, it is truly a sanctuary! Every appliance worked perfectly, we didn’t have trouble with anything. The listing is extremely accurate and the small details, fresh sourdough bread, homemade marmalade, fresh eggs are warming touches by the host. Also, what to do in the Kangaroo Valley and contact numbers is very helpful.

Alana – July 2015

Situated in the most achingly beautiful countryside you could ever imagine. It is picture perfect and serene. If you want to get away from everything & cosy up in front of the fire with a good book (a selection of books is provided) & a glass of wine (also provided) this is the place for you.

Lisa – April 2015

This is a very nice place located between pastures and forest with a wonderful view on the valley. In only one night there, we saw wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, heaps of colourful birds and two beautiful horses. The inside is well furnished and very comfy. We had a really good time there. Highly recommended.

Mathieu – November 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dairy. This is a wonderful place, in the middle of the Kangaroo Valley, beautiful views on waterfalls, bush, and countryside ! Also, we loved walk around the cottage to spot wildlife and animals at the farm. We highly recommend this place and we’ll love to come back. Perfect for families!
